Controllable p-doping of graphene on Ir(111) by chlorination with FeCl3

The in situ chlorination of graphene on Ir(111) has been achieved by depositing FeCl(3) followed by its thermal decomposition on the surface into FeCl(2) and Cl. This process is accompanied by an intercalation of Cl under graphene and formation of an epitaxial FeCl(2) film on top, which can be removed upon further annealing. A pronounced hole doping of graphene has been observed as a consequence of the annealing-assisted intercalation of Cl. This effect has been studied by a combination of core-level and angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopies (CL PES and ARPES, respectively), near-edge x-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) spectroscopy and low-energy electron diffraction (LEED). The ease of preparation, the remarkable reproducibility of the doping level and the reversibility of the doping upon annealing are the key factors making chlorination with FeCl(3) a promising route for tuning the electronic properties in graphene.     

The Krull dimension of the module category over right noetherian serial rings

Study of the structure and immunoenhancing activity of glucan ADVA

Experimental data to confirm the possibility of the usage of polysaccharides as adjuvants were obtained. Immunoadjuvant activity of polysaccharide ADVA when used in conjunction with antigens of different structures and chemical natures: sheep red-blood cells, meningococcal polysaccharide antigen, tetanus exotoxin protein, and hemagglutinin of influenza virus were studied. The structure of the polysaccharide ADVA was characterized by the IR-spectroscopy and GC methods. It was shown that ADVA is non-toxic. The possibility of using ADVA as an immunoadjuvant is discussed.     

Evaluated integral cross sections of the <Superscript>7</Superscript>Li(<Emphasis Type="Italic">p</Emphasis>, α)<Superscript>4</Superscript>He reaction

New data on the energy dependence of integral cross sections of the ⁷Li(p, α)⁴He reaction are obtained to develop the SaBa (Sarov Base) library of evaluated and experimental nuclear data at the Russian Federal Nuclear Center, All-Russia Research Institute of Experimental Physics [1]. The sum of smooth and resonance parts is used as an approximating function in the current version of the SaBa database. The smooth part is described by cubic splines. Lorentzians are used to describe resonance regions. Experimental data already available in the SaBa library are analyzed to obtain new evaluated data on the ⁷Li(p, α)⁴He reaction, and a search is conducted for new data in domestic and foreign literary sources.     

Hardware-Software Complex for Measurement of Energy and Angular Distributions of Charged Particles Formed in Nuclear Reactions

A hardware-software complex for measurement of energy and angular distributions of charged particles formed in nuclear reactions is presented. Hardware and software structures of the complex, the basic set of the modular nuclear-physical apparatus of a multichannel detecting system on the basis of ΔE–E telescopes of silicon detectors, and the hardware of experimental data collection, storage, and processing are presented and described.
